EXCURSIONS

Monterosso is also an unparalleled starting point for many excursions able to satisfy any taste.

A matchless wealth at hand, to explore day after day, through the paths overlooking the sea or the railway, but also with short suggestive cruises along the seaboard, sometimes wild and some times terraced with vineyards.

Within short distances the guests can find the other beautiful villages of the Cinque Terre, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore, with their ancient narrow streets, their churches clinging to the rock and their famous squares, but also the charming village of Portovenere, the Gulf of La Spezia, named the Poets gulf (after many poets, e.g, Byron and Shelley, who spent part of their life there), or the picturesque villages of the “Riviera di Levante” towards the Gulf of Tigullio ending with the world famous Portofino.
Also, ideal for daily excursions the guest can find many beautiful places in the nearby Tuscany, from the legendary marble caves in Carrara, to Pisa, Lucca, and Florence.
